Rachel Fontenot

A music industry executive with a proven track record achieved over two decades working directly with some of music’s biggest names,

Fontenot began her career with BMG Nashville, holding several roles within the company as it evolved into Sony Music Nashville. Working in sales, production, digital, artist development and marketing, she cultivated a 360-degree perspective that is still applied to every marketing situation she takes on. Eventually serving as Director of Artist Development & Marketing at Sony, she directly impacted the careers of such artists as Carrie Underwood, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Alabama, Sara Evans, Maren Morris, Chris Young and more.

Fontenot launched her own artist consulting firm in 2017, focusing her expertise on marketing strategy and artist development. In 2019 she joined UMG Nashville, rising to the position of VP of Marketing & Artist Development within a year. In that role, she oversaw and drove day-to-day marketing efforts and special projects contributing to the success of Reba McEntire, Eric Church, Shania Twain, Sam Hunt, Jon Pardi, Brothers Osborne, and Vince Gill among others.  While also overseeing the entire Artist Development team.
